Dr. Athappilly specializes in evaluation and treatment of diseases causing vision loss due to damage of the optic nerve and visual pathways. She also focuses on the treatment of motility disorders.
Her special interest includes diseases of the optic nerve including optic neuritis, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, and ischemic optic neuropathy. She is also interested in the treatment of ocular and facial spasms with botulinum toxin injections.
