Orthoptic Service
The Orthoptic Service provides a full range of diagnostic services in ocular motility to the referring physician, whether as part of a complex strabismus evaluation or in preparation for surgery. The focus of Orthoptics is the evaluation and treatment of disorders of vision, eye movements and eye alignment in children and adults.
Among the many entities evaluated are:
- intermittent exotropia (diplopia awareness)
- convergency insufficiency
- amblyopia
- preoperative prism adaptation
- diplopia (Fresnel prisms)
