The New England Eye Center at Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center is a regional referral and consultation facility, providing the most current and comprehensive services in primary and tertiary Ophthalmology. We are a complete clinical treatment center for all types of eye diseases and visual problems as well as any eye emergencies. Our professional and support staff provide patients not only with the best technical care, but with compassion, reassurance and friendly assistance.

Our central mission is to provide patients with the highest quality ophthalmic services in a compassionate, patient-centered environment. We are pleased to be part of Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center of Boston, a 454- bed tertiary care facility, and the primary referral center for Caritas Christi Health Care, the largest New England-based Catholic health care system.

At our office you also will find a complete optical shop: New England Eyewear. Offering a large selection of traditional and designer frames, New England Eyewear accepts most insurance plan discounts and offers a 12-month free, unconditional warranty on frames. In addition, it has an optical lab on the premises, a contact lens service and a wide selection of children's frames. Thomas Bigelow, RDO, who manages New England Eyewear, has expertise in fitting difficult prescriptions and no-line bifocals.
