Pediatric Optometry
The Pediatric Optometry
Service provides comprehensive ocular examinations
as well as contact lens and vision therapy
(orthoptic) services. We specialize
in the evaluation and management of vision
problems affecting children, including
refractive error, strabismus, amblyopia
and binocular vision problems.
Among the entities managed are:
- amblyopia (occlusion therapy, atropine
penalization)
- strabismus
- convergence insufficiency (orthoptic
exercises)
- intermittent exotropia (diplopia
awareness, orthoptic exercises)
- accommodative insufficiency
- refractive error
